We are excited to share that our new project is taking shape. Dr Umesh Karkare attended the “Shelter Medicine Conference” that took place July 10th-12th at the Cornell Veterinary College and Teaching Hospital, Ithaca, NY.
The 2026 Shelter Medicine Meeting brought together over 400 leading professionals to discuss advancements, protocols, and systemic shifts in shelter veterinary medicine. Across five full lecture halls, the conference delivered cutting-edge insights through five distinct educational streams and two practical Clinical Skills Labs.
A major highlight for the ProSalus Foundation was securing high-level strategic alignments with global pioneers in the field, establishing an advisory framework to adapt modern shelter medicine curricula for the unique cultural and structural landscape of India.
